About This Pipe

Tom Eltang's no stranger to reverse Calabash engineering, employing it in his signature and aptly named Tubos designs. It seems he's also been experimenting with other forms that accommodate such a system as well — forms which, like so many other of Tom's shapes, are centered around grain. He's accomplished just that with this broad and architectural freehand, framing the block's natural patterns with crisp panels and curved planes. The result is not just a cool-smoking reverse Calabash, but a Tom Eltang Snail grade briar unlike any other.
