About This Pipe
Max Rimensi of Il Duca is perhaps better known for his renditions of classic shapes, making this Mushroom stand out quite a bit. Forward canted, with a plump waistline, the bowl evokes its namesake, with a clean taper to the transition. Behind, the shank is of a more languid sort, with an asymmetric shank end that offers up a touch of plateau. No detail has been overlooked, including the stem, its wide disc of ivorite making for a crisp accent sandwiched in the middle of the jet-black piece. A neat freehand design all around.
