About This Pipe

With a firm handle on a wide range of shaping styles, one never quite knows what to expect when encountering a piece from Max Rimensi of Il Duca. From the deftly-rendered English classic to the wilder Danish/Japanese-inspired rendition, the result is always fantastic, and unmistakable as anything other than an Il Duca pipe. This Barone bent Dublin is likely inspired by the Japanese school, with its precisely-flared bowl leading to subtly asymmetrical, plateau-kissed rim. It houses a chamber with more emphasis on depth, resulting in dimensions on par with a deep Stack. It sits too, thanks to the flattened panel on the underside. A truly phenomenal piece from Max here.
