About This Pipe

Benni Jorgensen's Swan stamp is reserved for his most superlative pipes, and this bent Apple has received that prestigious designation. Not only stamped with an image of the graceful bird, this piece also exudes a similarly elegant silhouette — the shank curling upward, like a swan's long neck, before the stem turns downward to mimic the bird's bill. Such flowing sinuosity is indicative of the Danish artisan's work, and this piece accentuates that aspect, pairing it with a curvaceous Apple bowl with a concave rim and defined transition.

Most striking in this Jorgensen pipe is Benni's use of oak to extend the shank and account for much of the profile's curvature. The extension deftly continues the arcing lines of the shank, and to further merge it with the briar stummel, Jorgensen sandblasted the oak as well, creating a uniquely striated texture that complements the stummel's contrast-stained ring grain. Decades of pipe making experience combine in this Swan-grade pipe from Benni Jorgensen, offering the best in regard to shaping, finishing, and engineering.
