About This Pipe
Though rendered in morta rather than your traditional briar, this handsome Rhodesian is still possibly the most classic pipe in this batch from Chris Askwith. The pert, upright shaping of the bowl and the muscular style of abbreviated shank and stout transition do lend it a bit more substance and chubbiness than you're typical English factory pipe, but in the overall color scheme, Chris certainly went with that old school English "dress" style: jet-black for the stummel and mouthpiece with a bright band of sterling silver. The effect is quite striking to say the least.
