To fashion a characteristically firm-sitting shape in a manner other than static or rigid, while still retaining its practical function, is a feat in and of itself. To do so in a playful, yet elegant way, such as Micah "Yeti" Cryder has done here with this Cherrywood, is seriously impressive.

The heaviest of forward-cants is on display, as the bowl is perched upon a heel roughly the size of a dime, further emphasized by a sweeping curve which evokes the sense of Japanese Naturalism. The convex rim sports a vast surface area of blasted birdseye, leading the eye to the seemingly endless layers of growth rings accentuating the cheeks' flowing contours. A delicately down-turned saddle stem meets an accent of box elder, lending this one a balanced juxtaposition of organic cues and charming delicacy.
