About This Pipe
While the Lumberman that appears in this same update shows a very Danish approach to the form of its bowl, this, I would say, is the most Danish of the designs going up in the Sam Cui batch. That having been said, with its compacted length and a certain organic flavor to the form of the transition and the artful use of a partial plateau at the rim, perhaps you would be more likely to see a composition closer to this coming from a Japanese artisan instead. Well, either way you split it, any artisan, Danish, Japanese, American, or otherwise would have to be mighty good to render it this well: beautiful lines and balance, excellent stem-work, and definitely an eye for making the most of a fine piece of plateau briar.
