Newcastle Smooth Grey (15) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

A hearty, Calabash-like take on the bent Dublin, Rattray's "15" design is marked by its deep bend, palm-filling bowl, and domed rim. It makes for a comfortable jaw-hanger that, while impressively compact in length thanks to the tightly curling transition, still offers a strong sense of substance in hand and plenty of chamber depth surrounded by generous, insulating walls.

Rattray's Newcastle line honors Newcastle upon Tyne, a cathedral city in England known for its industrial might and storied history. The defining trait of the Newcastle series is a shiny metallic accent, a nod to to its namesake's sophisticated architecture. Each pipe in the series is presented in one of three finishes: a dark sandblast, a terracotta smooth finish, or a grey smooth finish. This particular examples wears the grey smooth finish.
