About This Pipe
General Douglas MacArthur is one of the United States most readily recognizable national heroes, his exploits on the battlefield matched only by his bombastic personality and now iconic corncob pipe shape. The MacArthur pipe was actually originally made by Missouri Meerschaum specifically for MacArthur as a special request, and after he received it, he was seldom seen in public without it. The shape itself is defined by its extra-tall bowl and lengthy shank, the former offering an extremely deep chamber that's reflected in this bent rendition as three inches of space for your tobacco. Finished without a stain, these pipes come with a distinctive ring pattern burned into the shank, something which MacArthur would do to each new corncob he received and which Missouri Meerschaum pays tribute to.
Note: While all of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
