About This Pipe

Featuring the same plump bowl as Missouri Meerschaum's Apple Diplomat corn cob shape, this special version is fashioned instead from maple and is fitted to an amber-hued, acrylic stem for a consistently warm color palette.

Pipe Cracked/Split on the first day

I had some high expectations for this hoping it would be more durable than the cheaper meerchaums and corncobs - the first day I used it was a rather terrible experience. The first bowl I packed was overwhelmed by the taste of the maple wood itself, which I expect a little with a fresh pipe but the taste was quite strong and overwhelming. By the third bowl I packed the wood taste had finally lessened but then the bowl cracked from top to bottom splitting along the shank. The pipe smokes very nicely; it has a strong open draw and good size bowl - which is a shame that it split and cracked from the heat. Perhaps I just got unlucky with this one and it just had a weakness in the wood grain. I might try another to see if this occurs again....Read More

As the price of cigarettes are considerably higher,than even most tobacco products I use, this was my first choice for coming back to the pipes. That was over 10 years ago, only smoke pipes now. I still get to smoke what I like,and not break the bank. Great pipes and buying another.
