About This Pipe

A pupil of Ping Zhan and Lan Zhenjun, pipe artisan Lv Zelong pulls inspiration from many Chinese and Danish shaping cues, creating a portfolio filled with expressive and organic pieces. Often seen using eccentric finishes and unique accents, Zelong's pipes are incredibly well-engineering and highly functional, including this bent Dublin. A sweeping and compact interpretation of the shape, this Dublin measures just over five inches long while still housing a respectable tobacco chamber, ensuring you aren't sacrificing smoking time. Dual ridgelines that extend from the stem to the rim inform the sweeping and flaring profile of the pipe. Said ridgelines create a mirrored flare along the bowl and stem's base, giving the silhouette an almost ichthyic look. Curving the opposite way of the shank, the latter half of the mouthpiece softly bends to the bit, adding an additional element of angularity to this piece. The inky vulcanite mouthpiece matches the ebony-stained stummel perfectly, finished in a craggy sandblast to highlight impressive growth rings across the bowl.
