Sandblasted Billiard (364) Tobacco Pipe

I tend to pine for pipes smaller than this, but still, encountering this brilliantly streamlined, exceptionally well-grained Billiard from Bill Shalosky gave me pause. The form is acutely balanced in profile, with the bowl's gentle sense of forward cant enhanced by the presence of some of the tightest, most concentric ring-grain I believe I have encountered on a pipe. Finished in a warm, crimson sandblast, paired to stem of lovely cumberland, this robust classic is going to make someone very happy.
