The bent Dublin is a handsome homage to Quinlan's hometown, trading the traditionally simple design for one that's more muscular, fluid. It is rumored that the original Dublin shape earned its name from Sir Daniel O'Connell, an eighteenth-century Irish politician who was commonly seen smoking the conical shape in the streets of Dublin. This particular Dublin from Austin Quinlan boasts a Bulldog-like bowl, with a beadline-wrapped waist and domed rim, but it still retains the flaring silhouette of the traditional Dublin shape. The shank is lenticular, with a crisp ridgeline framing the bottom portion of the entirety of the stummel. The arching profile of the combination at the rear encourages a relaxed smoking position, while the broad transition provides ample space to drape a digit.
