About This Pipe

Elliott Nachwalter is known for starting the Briar Workshop with Jorg Jemelka, and the two would later collaborate with the likes of J.T. Cooke and Brad Pohlmann. With this bent Egg, Elliott did a great job of finding tight flame grain to dress the walls of the bowl and unusually muscular shank, which in this case is large enough that the aft of the bowl falls only slightly before meeting the shank, giving this piece an appearance near that of a bent Apple or bent Billiard with a well-tapered bowl. The stem is a generous length of tapered vulcanite, bent heavily about halfway to the bit. Substantial in weight and heel and well-crafted for the eyes and the fingertips, this piece is a perfect fit for any smoker seeking a distinctive take on the classic bent Egg.
