Becker Smooth Acorn (Four Hearts) (2021) Tobacco Pipe

The Becker family has built an impressive reputation among pipe aficionados over the past 50 years, creating high-quality smoking implements since the 1970's. Third-generation carver Federico now continues the Becker name, preserving his family's traditions while developing his own personal style.

This Acorn is a fine example of that style, featuring a sleek shank-and-stem arrangement contrasted by a voluptuous, organically asymmetrical bowl. Said bowl features plump walls and a rippling rim atop a firm, spurred heel. The slim shank joins a tapered stem of black vulcanite that contrasts handsomely with the stummel's light, natural finish. Having earned the Four Hearts grade, the briar displays a wealth of fine flame grain and birdseye interspersed around the bowl.
