In 1844, German bankers Carl and Herman Upmann traveled to Cuba for the explicit purpose of crafting a superior cigar to give as a special gift to their most important clients. Resurrecting a blend that's been locked in their vaults for over 150 years, H. Upmann has gone to painstaking lengths to recreate their original blend, "The Banker," using a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder from the Jalapa region, and aged Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers.
