About This Cigar

Made in Italy from fermented American and Italian dark-fired Kentucky tobaccos, Toscano cigars differ from their Caribbean counterparts in that they don't have to be stored in a humidor to retain their quality. Referred to as dry cigars or "cheroots," Toscano cigars are perfect for travel and casual everyday enjoyment, and due to their strength and length, they're traditionally smoked ammezzato — cut in half rather than smoked in their entirety, effectively providing two smokes per cigar. Here Toscano presents the Originale, an homage to the reintroduction of handmade Italian cigars to Italy in 1985. These full-bodied dry cigars were aged 12 months and boast a flavor marked by complexity, balance, and boldness — available either in custom quantities of single cigars or in a humidor-style box of 30.

Note: Because Toscano cigars are made from fermented tobaccos, it's recommended that they be stored separate from other cigars, lest the aromas and flavors mix. As such, consider preserving Toscano cigars in an air-tight container at around 68ºF (20ºC).

Italy's 6th best export and that is really saying something because, wow, they do coffee pretty good over there.

These cigars are, in my opinion, in a class of their own. They tend to be good out-of-doors cigars for working, being that they are not as temperamental as a "traditional" cigar in the wind . They taste of hickory and mesquite smoke to me, and have a very difficult-to-notice (for me) sweetness, almost a hint of perfume even. They smell the same way as your hypothetical grandma, a barbecue expert, would were she on fire. Of course, the predominant flavors in that sordid bouquet are the secret blend of hardwoods in the Oklahoma Joe smoker which regrettably helped to set her alight, but to the discerning observer there is also a hint of the venerable old matriarch, who has lived and died by the barbecue sword, on the breeze, both floating above and sublimated by the stronger flavors of the smoke. I have probably smoked 50 or more of these things, not including their other offerings (Garibaldi, Classico, Master Aged, Aroma) and I will keep coming back. I will second the above description's suggestion to enjoy these after cutting them in half - the halves last much longer than I would have anticipated at first, and it's good to share, especially accompanied by coffee or spirits. Please for the love of barbecue grandma try these with a cup of coffee, or, better still, a doppio espresso....Read More

Notice, if you buy an entire box of cigars they will not be shipped in a humidor style box. The description is misleading and it is not worth the price of buying an entire box. They shipped in a cheap particle board box that is nothing special. Bummer
