About This Cigar
Meaning "The Jewel" in French, My Father's Le Bijou 1922 cigar was blended by Jose "Pepin" Garcia in honor of his father, José Garcia Alayón, who was born in 1922. Among the crown jewels in My Father's regular-production portfolio, the Le Bijou is distinguished by a special Nicaraguan Habano wrapper that the Garcias dubbed "Oscuro-Oscuro" in reference to the intensely dark color brought out by the tabacalera's special fermentation process. It's completed by a binder and fillers from the Garcia family's renowned farms in Nicaragua, creating a full-bodied blend marked by rich complexity and depth. This 100 Años version was released in 2022 to commemorate what would have been Alayón's 100th birthday. While incorporating the same components as the regular Le Bijou 1922 cigar, the 100 Años is slightly modified by tobaccos from the Garcias' San Rafael, Las Quebradas, and San José farms in Nicaragua, as well as a distinctive orange ribbon along the foot.
