A traditional Cuban brand, La Gloria Cubana was revitalized in 1972 in Miami by Ernesto Carrillo, his intent being to provide top-notch cigars to local clientele. Blend-wise, Gran Legado, which translates from Spanish as "Great Legacy," features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and high-priming fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. These high-priming fillers come from higher up on the tobacco plant and receive more nutrients from the sun, resulting in a unique flavor and robust strength. What's more, these cigars are a limited-edition of 19,000 total cigars and are highly exclusive, rolled only by torcedors with more than 15 years of experience and available as a singular 7.75 x 62 Salomon vitola.
