Eladio Diaz has been working with tobacco since he was six years old, and is a respected figure in the cigar industry. Rising to a position of prominence during his 35-year career with Davidoff, Diaz was one of the brand's most trusted blenders, additionally overseeing production and quality control for one of their factories. In 2021, Diaz struck out on his own, founding an eponymous cigar brand and establishing a factory in the Dominican Republic, all to be run by him and his family. Diaz's decades of experience blending and his rigorous quality standards culminate in a portfolio that's as flavorful as it is elegant and innovative: all without sacrificing consistency.

During his time at Davidoff, Diaz was responsible for blending a number of acclaimed cigars, but, in addition to these released blends, Diaz also blended a celebratory cigar once a year for his birthday. These birthday cigars were shared amongst friends, family, coworkers, and the occasional visitor, but were never publicly available, attaining a mythical status among the most devoted enthusiasts of the leaf. Eladio still blends these birthday cigars, but, now that he's at the helm of his own production, they are available to be enjoyed by anyone that can get their hands on them. The 71 Anniversario, Diaz's 71st Birthday celebration, is a robust, medium-bodied cigar with an all-Dominican filler blend of Corojo, Habano 92, and HVA leaf, concealed within a Mexican San Andrés binder and an Ecuadorian Corojo 99 wrapper. A limited-edition release, the 71 Anniversario offers earthy, nutty tasting notes, complete with a good bit of spice.
