About This Cigar
A heritage brand now with separate Cuban and non-Cuban divisions, Partagas is among the oldest cigar brands still around today, having been founded in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagás. The non-Cuban Partagas has delighted connoisseurs for decades and become known especially for its dark, rich cigars - a repertoire that includes the Valle Verde. Released in 2023, the Valle Verde is a special cigar from the brand, being the first Partagas cigar to include a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Its name, translating to English as "green valley," is a reference to this wrapper's growing region, the state of Veracruz: known for its lush valleys that are rich with minerals. The wrapper complements a Cameroon binder harvested in 2015 and fillers from San Andrés that include Ligero from Esteli and Jalapa in Nicaragua. The filler blend and wrapper were both harvested in 2020, making this cigar an excellent choice for enthusiasts of aged tobacco.
