About This Cigar

La Flor Dominicana's La Volcada cigar honors co-founder Litto Gomez's home country of Uruguay and specifically the tango dance, which originated in Uruguay and Argentina. Literally meaning "spill" or "overturn" in Spanish, la volcada is a dance step in the tango in which the follower leans into the leader, "spilling" their weight onto them. As a cigar, the La Volcada is an elegant and refined blend of Dominican fillers grown on Gomez's La Canela farm and an Ecuadorian Corojo binder, all enveloped by a rich Mexican San Andrés wrapper. It offers a flavor profile marked by smooth, creamy notes with hints of earth, nuts, and chocolate and is available here in a 7" x 48 Churchill vitola — the line's singular, regular-production size.
