It's a nice size and looks good on a desk, in a case, or on a gun cabinet's shelf. It works really well for my bent pipes; Porto Cervo, Unica, etc. and works quite well with straight pipes as well.

If you're wondering; it does not work for Churchwardens, at least not mine. I have 'wardens that are all 10"+ and they fall out or tip, they do not sit at all....Read More

This stand is a very solid piece of wood. when it comes to larger pipes, it is very accommodating. It hold's a Peterson Pub Pipe as if it were made for the job. Stem length does not factor into the equation with this stand. Fit and finish is very well done, right down to the rubber feet. It will also hold smaller pipes with exceptional ease. Nicely done heavy nicely finished. Best of all it will hold almost any shape pipe you throw at it. Being heavy and having rubber pads on the bottom it sits well on most any surface. Have a few friends that will be getting one for Christmas this year.
