About This Cigar
In 2008, Pete Johnson embarked on a project that has in many ways defined Tatuaje for over a decade since, the Monster series, and it quickly became one of the most highly anticipated annual releases in the industry. In that span, Tatuaje released 13 limited-edition cigars around Halloween, all inspired by iconic characters within the horror genre. 2020 marked the end of the original Monster series, with the last of the intended 13 cigars finally released.
Since 2021, Tatuaje has produced Redux versions of the Monster series, re-releasing the line as newly-produced smokes in the same order as they were originally debuted: sharing the same blend and size as the originals. The fifth iteration of the Redux series, released in 2025, is the Mummy, a 7.5" x 47 Double Corona featuring all Nicaraguan tobaccos, including the Criollo wrapper. The Mummy Redux 5 is imited to 5,000 boxes of 13 cigars, 666 of which have been numbered.
