About This Cigar

Committed to the cigar making tradition established by his father and grandfather, Nick Perdomo Jr. began making cigars out of his garage, naming the operation "Nick's Cigar Co." This humble home business would become Tabacalera Perdomo in 1992, renowned throughout the cigar world. The company soon outgrew every location it moved to, eventually settling in Estelí, Nicaragua, where its handmade cigars are still produced today. Now, the 4th generation of Perdomo is at the helm, with Nicholas Perdomo III continuing the legacy of those before him.

Offering deep, earthy notes with hints of cedar, leather, and spice, Perdomo's Habano Maduro packs a whole lot of flavor into a well-balanced cigar overall.

I like a whole lot about this cigar in many ways. Very rich from the light onward. Cedar, leather, spicy note for the whole stick. The wrapper is very nice, flavorful and not in the slightest bit sweet. The volume of smoke is more like a 60 ring gauge. There is an underlying harshness that pokes it's head in a little too frequently for me. The retrohale is very sharp, and somewhat numbing. I LOVE full bodied cigars, but mellower somehow. The construction is flawless, the right balance of tightly constructed, yet a supreme draw. perfectly even burning. I'm sure there are others who will enjoy everything about these, but for me, while it's a fine product, it just really isn't quite for me...Read More
