Outdoors Hunting 1.75oz Pipe Tobacco

In full honesty, I bought this to cellar for a few years since we will never see any more Cobblestone blends. I haven’t trued it, but we all know the Cobblestone reputation for blends. All I can say is get this before it’s gone and the secondary market prices increase in the coming years.

When I proudly smoke a German tobacco, I should of zip my lip, and injoy that tobacco.

If this tobaccos goal was to be enjoyed outdoors, it is a total success. This is a sweet tobacco almost seems to have a honey casing. The Virginia is first, then the sweet burley and the perique finishes you off for a perfectly balanced smoke. The tin note is a sweet molasses that almost reminds me of a sweet feed for cattle or horses. It comes right out of the tin ready to smoke tho some may prefer to give it a few minutes to dry before packing. Virginia leads the show with a sweet hay taste with the nutty burley following. The perique pops up now and again as a slight spice. Overall it’s a great blend that strait-forward but has some complexity to it as well. This is an excellent blend solid VA-Per with a good burley addition that adds volume to the smoke and reduces bite. A little citrus and hay with a bit of earthiness. A pure tobacco experience that may unexpectedly be one of my favorite blends to date.
