Samuel Gawith - Squadron Leader 50g
Solid, but not my favorite
This is a good blend, but I think maybe over hyped a bit. The tin note is a wonderful smoky scent, kind of like BBQ. Smoking it right out of the tin, it won't stay lit and it bites the hell out of my tongue. I definitely recommend letting this dry out a bit, as it is fairly moist.

Peterson - De Luxe Navy Rolls 50g
Coins you CAN put in your mouth
This is a great blend. The tin note has a dried fruit smell and while smoking it is tangy and hay like while also being a bit peppery but not overbearing. Smoke it slowly and it wont bite your tongue. I didn't have any issues keeping it lit either. I will say this is my first coin cut tobacco, it is a bit different from packing a pipe with ribbon cut, but its not hard to do.

Balkan Sasieni - Balkan Sasieni 50g
Absolutely fantastic
Before you even open the tin you can smell the campfire aroma. It has a pleasant flavor and aroma, its easy smoking. I didn't pack it very tight in the bowl and was able to puff on it pretty steadily without getting any tongue bite. This stuff is great, I will be getting more

Mac Baren - Vanilla Cream 3.5oz
Very light vanilla
This tobacco has great flavor, that is to say the Virginia and Burley. I don't really taste any vanilla while smoking. The blend has great flavor, just not much vanilla. The room note on the other hand has a subtle sweet vanilla scent. I can even smell the vanilla in my mustache. All in all, I do recommend this blend. I had higher hopes for more vanilla but I am by no means disappointed

Peterson - De Luxe Mixture 50g
Great aromatic blend
Right out of the tin this has a sweet and almost bread like smell. While smoking it has a honey vanilla taste that compliments the tobacco, making for a mellow smoke. The room note is similar to the tin note. Overall, it is a very pleasant smoke.

Stanwell - Vanilla 50g
This is a great vanilla blend
Update: I have let this blend be for a little while and revisited, and it is much better than my previous review lets on. After it has dried out a bit, the tongue bite is almost completely gone, save for when I'm smoking a bit too fast. The vanilla is mostly in the aroma aside from some vague sweetness, but the tobacco has a nice flavor. after allowing it some time to dry out a bit, it is a nice and mellow smoke. Old Review: I'll start by saying that right out of the tin the tobacco has a nice scent. Slightly sweet from the cavendish but you can definitely pick up on the other tobaccos in the blend however faint. Smoking it was what led me to giving this a 3 star rating. The aroma that wafted around the room was somewhat vanilla and mostly vague sweetness. The flavor was kind of the same, that is when I could get this stuff to stay lit. I don't know if it was the Oom Paul I was using or if the tobacco was too moist, but it did not want to stay lit and bit my tongue a few times. I felt like a steam engine the way I was puffing on it. Maybe it was bad technique on my part, I did give it time to rest many times while trying to smoke it. I'm going to give this some time to age and revisit it. I will update this review when that happens.

Peterson - Standard Mixture 50g
A good smoke
I am not a seasoned pipe smoker, I got started a few years back mainly smoking aromatics like Vauen Zeppelin and some less expensive blends like Captain Black Royal. With that being said, I really like Standard Mixture. Its a smooth and balanced blend that has been enjoyable straight out of the tin. The tin note is a really nice smokiness with some sweetness in the back. While smoking it's flavor is similar with an earthy hint to it. This is definitely a great blend to start with if you're new to English blends like I am.
