Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop Cake 2oz
Haunted and Loving it.
This version of the blend is so much better than the ribbon. Which goes without saying because the stuff got to merry and develop. I like both versions, but this one is robust in strength of N and flavor. My tin was slightly aged, so the tin note was intense. Strong notes of fig and fruits for me, as well as the undertone of warm burley. Flavor is everything you like about HB but in 4k. The cake is easy to crumble and dry to your liking. Burns so much better for me than the ribbon. My ribbon is several years old but that age didnt matter much I think compared to the cake. This is worth a try and a place in your cellar.

Masterclass
Another Masterclass in english tobacco blending by none other than THE PEASE. This is the kind of English you pull out when you want a rich, savory BBQ smoke with the notes you expect from an English without feeling overwhelmed by it. I also liked how smooth and creamy it was for me. I normally get hammered with dry mouth by Orientals and this didn't do that for me. They are there but they didnt mess with my palate. It's like Quiet Nights younger sibling. This blend really is that good.

I think I might actually prefer this to OJK Regular. Less punch from the Nicotine, great flavors everything OJK is but what feels like a lighter version. Honestly cant go wrong with either but Ill most likely be stashing more HB for everyday use.

Simple yet satisfying
If you want a good no frills every day smoke. This is your candidate. One thing C&D excels at is Burleys. I wanted to try this blend as a replacement for PA that I could get in pounds at a good price. i think this may for the bill. Natural burley notes from the bag, I detect a slight sweetness as well. Flavor is 100% burley for me. Nutty, some coco, earthy. Just a damn good burley that doesn’t require you to have refined tongue of JimInks. Recommend.

Worth the money
I enjoy this blend alot, I find the combination of tobaccos to be perfect. The addition of DFK really adds dimension to the blend for me. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a Perique DFK combo with thier Lat.
