Sutliff - RL-Green River Black
Odd Man Out
This may well be the contrary opinion, but I really like this tobacco. It is a truly unique experience, an unadorned black cavendish. The true character of the tobacco is unmasked by any blending or essence of this or that. Actually, the smell in the jar and aroma of the smoke makes me think of the tobacco smells of western Kentucky when visiting my grandfather's farm decades ago. (The old tobacco barn is still standing.) I enjoy it as an alternative to my usual English blend preference, and like a stronger English blend, I suppose, it's probably not for the faint of heart. I've had some difficulty keeping it at the right humidity, so it does seem to require some attention on that score. I just tried to order it again--out of stock at the moment.
