Missouri Meerschaum - Mini with Black Stem
Shockingly effective
Bought it not form ornamental reasons. I thought if this really smokes then it could be useful when you want a bowl or even as a tasting-type pipe. It works perfect. About a ten minute smoke for me and I don’t think it would work great with any cut. Ribbon is the way to go for sure but man if you just want a pipe for a break at work or something…this is super effective and smokes great. I’ll probably pick up a few more.

Cornell & Diehl - Red Carpet 2oz
Middle of the road
Not a bad blend. I’ve had three bowls of it. It is a tad bitey if you don’t have a good cadence. Not bad but too many other blends far better to buy again for me.

Cornell & Diehl - Oak Alley 2oz
Coolest smoke
What a blend. Probably my top to be honest. The kake pulls apart and breaks down with no effort. It takes a light with no issue, burns slow and leaves an ash of fine snow. The taste is floral, bold, but never waivers on smoothness. Whether I am around the fire pit, in the car on the way to work, or having a late night puff for a nightcap, this blend is on point everytime. It never falls short of exquisite.

Solani - Red Label - 131 50g
Stock up on the red
Got to say I am not a big aromatics guy. This blend is fantastic. I didn’t even know it was an aromatic when I picked it up from my local B&M. I was hoping to get lucky with some aged burley flake and I saw this one sitting there and I don’t know if I have older tin or what but it didn’t mention the Scotch. It just said Virginia/Burley and I thought well hell, it can’t be bad. This is a top five blend for me easy. A true challenge not to overheat the bowl but I can’t get enough. The single malt topping adds some sweetness and does not at all overshadow the fine tobaccos in this blend. Enjoy your Scotch in the morning with this one. Don’t buy a tin…buy 5.

Cornell & Diehl - Poplar Camp
Daily smoker
Poplar camp is one I just won’t be without. It is my go to and just feels like home when I light it.

John Aylesbury - Classic Flake 50g
Delicious refined taste
I am still somewhat new with pipe tobacco coming from 10 years of cigar smoking. This is at the top of my list right now. Smooth, delicate, flavor. Little moist right out of tin. Dried 20 minutes and rubbed it out with no issues. Packed beautifully and burned down to the bottom of the bowl. Can get a bit warm if overworked but takeoff it slow, it stays nice a cool. A very classic blend that I will certainly be giying more of.
