Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Dark Flake Unscented
Spice, incense, and cigar.
I just finished the Breaking Bad episode called face off for like the tenth time. I thought it was the perfect time to pick this bowl back up after letting it sit out for about 2 weeks. But don't worry, that didn't do anything to diminish the intensity of this unbelievable blend. Just a warning, spoiler ahead. I keep thinking about Gustavo standing up after having half of his face blown off. Yeah, that about explains this blend. If you don't like being tested and uncomfortable, then this blend is not for you. Go back to your tutti frutti, smooth, sweet/low nicotine blend. This blend is not for you. Now don't get me wrong, I like my tutti frutti, smooth, sweet/low nicotine blends just as much as the next guy. But when I'm in a bad or dark mood, or just flat out angry. This is the kind of blend I reach for. Something potent and pungent to take over my senses and make me leave my body. Something like this. Just unfathomably gorgeous, furious and perfect tobacco here. Not for the faint of heart indeed. Perfect after having some Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.

I would like to start out by saying that I love all things Latakia. I've been smoking pipes on and off for about 10 years now and it's just the way it's always been. Ever since I tried Plum Pudding as one of my first blends. This however is one of thee most gorgeous things I have ever put in my pipe and smoked. Why did it take me so long to find out? Who knows? At least I did now and I can guarantee you I'll be buying tons of this as long as there is still breath in my dying, aging body. I have never had a Latakia blend that I didn't at least like. Except for Star of the East flake, I'm not sure why. But that's neither here nor there. This however, is unbelievably gorgeous, perfect and pure. Just phenomenal quality leaf here, as is always the case with my beloved Gawith Hoggarth blends. It's sharp, sweet and smooth. The harshness only comes in from smoking hard of course, but even then there's no tongue bite. Just furious, beautiful and gorgeous tobacco. I love you GH.

Absolute Bliss
If you love regular Plum Pudding, you will love the added sweetness. That said it's not overly sweet. Gorgeous.
