Dear God What Happened?
Remember the light touch that Carter Hall had when it was produced in the States? Many of us do. I don’t know what this is, other than the tin note, —albeit with enhanced lowtide essence, but it’s not Carter Hall. Cannot be smoked in any pipe: filtered, unfiltered, meerschaum, cob, Falcon, ad nauseam. Aired for a month. Toasted some in the oven. The future appears to be a flat circle where the only choices are going to be palatable, but unavailable; or merde, merde, and more merde. Happy piping indeed.

How Is This So Popular?
Nothing about this product smells, tastes, acts, or even looks like tobacco. Tried it in every pipe; used filters, and didn’t use filters; aged in a jar; “sipped” like an old crone drinking limpid tea—though if you need to sip or use a filter the tobacco isn’t any good. The only reason to sip is to not get nic-sic. But this, this putrid golem from hell does not deserve the success it has. We truly live in clown-world.

Cornell & Diehl - Kajun Kake 8oz
Quick Aged Review
Time on deck is 10:27, 2nd of November, 2024. Just opened a three year old jarred whole square of Kajun Kake. Still had plenty of moisture, in a positive way. Smoked in a Savinelli Roma 804 KS. Verdict: Already a tasty favorite new, the age was worth the wait. The Cavendish, in a new tin, is quite good with smoothing the sharp edges of the Virginia; in the aged batch, the edge doesn't exist. An easy cadence develops the Perique much earlier, leaving the smoker with a smooth, figgy, musty feel, where consistent flashes of citrus color the overall experience. Primarily a Burley smoker.

Beyond sleeper.
Maybe the best of the lot for C&D. Stunned. The balance is subtle, but mature. No caveats. Burley, Virginias, Balkans, Americans, and lastly, English would be my order of preference. Hope this helps.
