Yes these red rusticated do Smoking Pipes no justice. They dyed my hands and twice my clothing. Smoke well but the finish leaves much to be desired…

Nice looking flake. All lined up, soft easy to fold and stuff, rub out. Little tin note. Lites well, not often if one keeps it going. Odd, I got a little banana at the start as well. But it disappears quickly. Smooth and creamy, but not milky. Honey, brown sugar. A lot of smoke, but might be my cadence. No bite. I’m liking it more and more. Strength-wise I’m coming down from ropes, plugs, and Lakelands in general, the 5s and 5+s, so this seems a 2 or less. But I’m drawn in by the smoothness. Could be an all day. Would buy more and would recommend…

Smoking Rattray’s Red Rapparee in my Rattray pipe. Love this gorgeous mixture that I would term Scottish, being oriental forward. Finishing my third bowl, it’s one of the few that takes me away from my Dark Flake Aromatic. I can meditate on the hills of Scotland, or the incense of John Knox’s Church. Or see with the same eye that God sees me. Some blends just take one away…

Volcano is one of my favorites, but the larger Molinas tend to have airway/draw problems. Had to drill it out to get the airway opened up. Shorty Molinas don’t seem to have this problem…

Finding I’m smoking this and nothing else. Smooth, creamy, cool, no bite, just hard to beat. Does need to be dried out, depending on your humidity. Wife accepts the light perfume room note. Tried all the Lakelands, don’t mind the “old lady” notes. But DFA is most similar to 1792, which I also hold high. Waiting for more…

After a lengthy G/H binge Shandy nic comes off almost as strong. Love the ginger burly taste. Burns a little fast, on my third bowl which would be one bowl otherwise. May become my favorite tobacco. Starting my fourth bowl. Wife says the room note is neutral, so that’s a big plus. Don’t get the salt, but the ginger burly oriental is point on ! Everything is subjective, put for me this is the bees nees !!!
