Being mainly a pipe smoker I guess I am used to holding the pipe in my mouth and smoke. Can't really do that with this. The short the cigar gets the more smoke gets in your eyes and nose. I have seem pipes that are made to hold these Toscano's but this item just isn't right. If you get the cigar pipes, I would buy one. But perhaps it's as I said at the beginning, I am used to a pipe and keeping the cigar further from my face. I have since learned to use this thing and enjoy it more now. The only issue is if you are smoking a Parodi, or De Nobili they don't really fit as the manufacturer rolls the ends very tight, sometimes too tight and the cigar will fall out.
