Drucquer & Sons - Casbah 100g
Great far east smoke
Imo leave this tobacco compacted and don't rub it a lot when you pack your pipe. Smokes much cooler this way than rubbing it in to finer flakes. Has turned in to my favorite smoked in a meerschaum pipe.

Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Night 2oz
Great blend
I love this Scottish blend…even though can hardly find any pipe tobacco in Scotland. Practically outlawed. Imo not as strong as advertised.

HU - Balkan Passion 100g
Perfect blend for me
Not to strong not too weak….just right. Slow burning blend with a solid taste that won’t bite. Just discovered this Balkan and is my new favorite.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton on the Bayou 50g
I take back everything bad I've said about this blend
The more I've smoked this blend the better I like it ! The Perique comes through with flying colors. Try it !

Cornell & Diehl - Briar Fox 16oz
Sorry but I don't get it
Not much flavor here and actually a little bitter. The most uninteresting tobacco I have tried. Since I ordered this huge tin I will continue to smoke it at times. I suggest that you try someone else's before you buy.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton on the Bayou 100g
I've changed my mind
The more I have smoked FMotBayou the more I like it. I'm raising my grade to 3.5. 4.0 next? It's a different blend than I'm used to but I'm slowly changing my mind. That said the pure Latakia is my favorite.

Please take my advice and don't start smoking this blend. It is very addictive and should only be smoked by an advanced pipe smoker like myself. You can't stop smoking it and you keep wanting more and more.......all smokers beware.

If you don't like the full Latakia experience of the Frog's Cellar blend but like a hint of Latakia then this is your blend. I loved it and feel that this could be my second favorite....the Frog's Cellar being my first favorite.

1/2 the frog's cellar
This is kind of an average blend IMHO. Not too harsh but fairly non decript. I'll smoke the rest of the can but would probably not re order.

Dunhill - Flake 50g
The best
This is the standard for Virginia as far as I am concerned. Try some and you will be hooked like I am. Mild and Sweet with no bite or extra foo foo.

McClelland - Special: Christmas Cheer 2012 100g
So so Virginia
If you want a great Virginia blend go to Dunhill Flake. This was very blah and at times a little bite. Don't give as a Christmas present. Not good enough for that.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 100g
I'm with these guys
This was my first trip to Frog Morton's Cellar and I loved it. The tobacco is a little moist however it burned perfectly as is. Latakia seems a little musty as if it picked up a little aroma from the Frog's Cellar. I loved it and would call this one of my favorites.

McClelland - Personal Reserve: Blackwoods Flake 50g
Wow
Do yourself a favor and try this tobacco. I would describe this smoke as Dunhill Flake on steroids. The same Virginia sweetness with more punch.

Lane Limited - 1-Q
Great surprise
Tried 1-Q since it was a best seller and now I see why. Very pleasant, a real winner!!
