Captain Earle's - Ten Russians 2oz
Not for the faint of heart!
This tobacco is something on the order of 45% latakia, and its noticable at once. Not overly wet out of a fresh tin, it smokes well to a white ash. It reminds me of the short-lived Compton's blend, York Full Mixture. If you like a full English blend, then this is the tobacco for you.

Tampers & Tools - Pipe Nail
It works, it just works.
I've used these for probably thirty or more years. I also like to tinker with things. So, I've filed away the cast on writing and molding seam line. A bit of polishing and it's done. They're indestructible and, if not lost, will last more than the average lifetime.

Cornell & Diehl - Long Cut Perique
Pepper and Spice
This is a great addition to either Virginia or Burley tobacco. With a sweet VA, it reminds me of the old "Red Hots" candy. Added to a nutty Burley, it adds a spicy edge to perk it up. Great stuff!

Esoterica - Tilbury 2oz
Not so ordinary
This is not a run-of-the-mill burley/VA. It's mild to my palate, with a sweet and slightly nutty flavor that begs to be enjoyed slowly. My only complaint is that it;s seldom available.

Low Country - Natural Virginia & Burley
Basic, but WOW!
At $20 per pound, what do I have to loose? I let it age and tried it. This stuff is good. The flavor it subtle, but you never miss it. Sweet and nutty. My wife likes it, enough said.

Balkan Sasieni - Balkan Sasieni 50g
It's OK...
It's a good Balkan/English in a pinch. No where in a class with Dunhill. It seems to be lacking something, maybe Perique.

Lighters - Lighter Flints - Dunhill Unique Blue Flints
Thanks!
I've asked several times for this item to be stocked over several years. I appreciate the fact that you listen. Note: this should be five stars, not four and three-quarters.

McClelland - 2015 Virginia-Perique Flake
Simply the best!
I like Virginias and I like Perique. This is a near perfect pairing of the two. Sweet, with a spicy undertone that isn't forgotten. Age only makes it better, Roll, fold, or rub out, it just works.

Samuel Gawith - Cabbie's Mixture 50g
WOW!
I've never smoked a tobacco from Samuel Gawith that I haven't liked, and this is no different. The perique is foremost in the tin note and is as evident upon smoking. The Virginias add a sweetness that enhances the perique and eases the peppery flavor. A natural, stunning, five-star mixture.

Sutliff - Sutliff 1849 1.5oz
Unexpected pleasure!
This is simply a wonderful VaPer. Easy to light and sips without effort. I got hints of honey and orange in the beginning that dissipated as the smoke went on. This should age well and I plan to cellar this one!

A&C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Smooth!
One of my favorites. Subtle, grassy, with a slight fig tin note, and the spice of St James Parish Perique. I've had some aged for a dozen years that keeps getting better. It's a staple of my cellar. There's always twenty or more tins on hand.

Samuel Gawith - Commonwealth Mixture 50g
Wonderful!
While it's very wet out of the tin, once allowed to dry a bit, it's as good an English as there is. My prefered drying method is to open a tin, allow it to dry completely and mix with a fresh tin and jar it.
