Old German Clay - Retro Briar Smooth Dublin with Horn Stem
Lovely with caveat
I’ve enjoyed the retro look and the horn stems, but both of mine required me to refinish them because the lacquer became sticky and even bubbled with only moderate heat. Fine stunnels with finishing not quite as great.

  • ► Got an unopened tub of CH from the estate of a next door neighbor. I have tried all manner of tobaccos from SP, and I am a little embarrassed to admit I like CH just about the best. Is that what happens when I started smoking years ago Sir WH and then Borkum Riff and then Sail before going boutique, or is it really that good?!
  • ► PS: I should point out that I’m looking for sweet and light, without being a real aromatic. I thought VAs would do it, but maybe not. Or maybe I’ve become a codger myself!
