Nørding - Pointer 2oz
My Goodness
Just wow. This is some seriously good virginia smoke. I hope Nording and C&D can continue to put this out. This and Labrador are absolute homeruns and compliment each other perfectly. Seriously blown away by how bright and delicious this virginia came out and wish Pointer was available in 8oz tins. This stuff is HEAVEN!

5 Year Treat
Recently cracked open a 5 year old tin purchased during COVID times... Upon cracking the tin, I was prepared to experience the magic. Sadly, it just tasted like regular old Escudo. Maybe a bit better but... Not magic. So I put it in a jar and let it sit for a month. Now the coins have darkened to a deep brown and the experience of smoking it is truly sublime. It's on a whole 'nother level! It's magic. Now I know. Thankfully I still have another pound of tins left from that purchase. It's going to be hard to not smoke them all this year. Just wow.

Parallelogram Plug
The plug comes cut as a parallelogram. How intelligent! Definitely a thought provoking, clean, elegant Virginia/Oriental smoke. Nice change of pace from a lot of the other things out there in the world of pipe tobacco. Definitely a sipper you'll want to spend some time getting to know. Pure, unadulterated tobacco taste here where the Virginia lays down a nice base for the Turkish to really shine.

Sophisticated Simplicity
The tin note is superb with strong breadiness and figs. First smoke right from the tin in a small Stanwell Duke, my first thoughts are that this is Briar Fox with the pleasant addition of condiments. It's like if Briar Fox was a hot dog and you went to the condiment bar and added some of your favorite goodies, you would have this. As others have said, it's a complex smoke with many layers appearing throughout the bowl. But what seemed present for me throughout was the distinctive burly body and mouthfeel that is so familiar with Briar Fox. It's like if Briar Fox went to college and studied liberal arts (the good kind) it might graduate as Ellipsis Flake. With that said, I do like it and it's a superb and sublime smoking experience with a few surprises and pleasurable from start to finish. Looking forward to seeing what some age will do for it and bought a few tins for the cellar.

Faithful Companion
Wow, right out of the tin this very quickly became a new favorite VaPer that probably flies pretty far under the radar. Wonderfully balanced blend that tastes like what I always wanted Bullseye to be but isn't. The cavendish gives it just the right amout of softness. I'm going to need to buy a lot of this stuff to have any chance of keeping any in the cellar. It's great fresh, I can only imagine that it will age like man's best friend.
