Peter Stokkebye - PS17 English Luxury
Reminds Me of a Frog I Used to Know
English Luxury is what Frog Morton would have been if it had Cyprian Latakia instead of the Syrian variety. There’s no replacement for Syrian Latakia but the similarities between this and the Frog are pretty close. English Luxury is a light to medium English blend that won’t scare away newbies but will satisfy the initiated. FIVE STARS from me.

Cornell & Diehl - Epiphany
Sweet and Spicy
As an English/Balkan lover I enjoy this for a change of pace smoke. The sweetness of the Virginia and the spicy notes of the Perique are dominant throughout. Almost too much Perique for my tastes. Almost. The Burley lends a nuttiness in the background, which is nice. I don’t detect much Latakia, if any. This smokes well and won’t bite. Gives wonderful plumes of smoke. A solid 3.5 Stars from me. Would rate higher if the Latakia wasn’t overpowered by the Va. and Perique.

Cornell & Diehl - Stratfordshire
An average mild English
This one’s a bit mild for my tastes. It’s not bad, just nothing special. I can think of a half dozen other mild English tobaccos I’d reach for. 3.5 Stars.

Cornell & Diehl - Tuggle Hall
I keep reaching for this.
This one is really growing on me. Like all C & D tobaccos this is best sipped gently and slowly, so the Burley doesn’t get overpowered by the rest. Stays consistent throughout the bowl and won’t misbehave. Should get better with age. A Solid 4.5 Stars from me.

Cornell & Diehl - Star of the East
This Star Shines!
I can’t swear this is 50% Latakia, but it doesn’t matter; this stuff is delicious. The nicotine hit is solid, so tread carefully if you’re not accustomed to that. It’s full flavored and best sipped gently to bring out its complexity. A solid 4.5 Stars!

If you like Balkans you’ll love this!
This is among my Top 5 Desert Island tobaccos. It’s perfectly balanced and rich in flavor. Never disappoints and gets better with age. Order this by the pound and keep some for cellaring.

I’ll have One with EVERYTHING
Engine #99 has become one of my Top 5 Desert Island tobaccos. Sip it slowly and gently to allow the interplay between the various flavors to develop. You won’t be disappointed. The more I smoke this, the better it gets. Should age well. Buy it by the pound! There’s nothing not to like with this blend. Highly Recommend. Easily 5 Stars!
