Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding 2oz
Long awaited experience
I’ve been intrigued about the hype behind this blend. Missed the boat when it was available beginning of the year, but finally scored a week or so ago. It IS good. Seems, to me, like what the obligatory pipe blend should be. Flavorful. Tasteful. Smokey. Yet, balanced. I popped my tin, let it dry for 20 minutes or so then jarred it. Seems to retain a bit of moisture. Will most likely keep in my rotation. Very interested in testing the special reserve blends of this as well.

Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 2oz

Was super intrigued by its description. Upon smoking, it’s very aromatic/cavendish forward. Not a bad thing. Not really what I was aiming for. Smooth and interesting. Would put it before a couple other aromatics.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
Solid blend to have in rotation
As still a relatively new smoker I ordered this because of its hype. Honestly wasn’t that impressed with it upon the first few smokes. What’s interesting though is as your palate evolves you find yourself re-adventuring certain blends. As my curiosity for Virginias and Perique has increased, I find Golden Slice quite refreshing. Grassy, citrusy and with the right amount of subtle spice. I suspect this will stay in my rotation.

Peterson - Nightcap 50g
Can't go wrong
After seeing MANY smokers rave about this blend, I figured I had to try it. Was a little hesitant as I'm not a huge fan of smokey Latakias, but upon getting this and firing up a bowl I was pleasantly surprised. Just the right amount of Latakia to compliment the strong Virginias. A great evening smoke and even better when paired with the right beverage. Highly recommend.

Mac Baren - Cherry Ambrosia 3.5oz
First cherry tin
I’ve smoked a bargain cherry tobacco before this. Was pleasantly surprised at the taste of this brand. Definitely better in a larger pipe, so you can really hone in on the taste and offering of this flake. I’m a sucker for lighter tasting tobaccos and this one delivers. Very well may keep this as a rotating selection.
