Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
Delicious
Really great smoke. We’re talking flavors of black tea, honey, lemon, orange, grapefruit, fresh mowed grass, hay(hops?) and a bit of leather spice/earth from the perique. It’s tobacco that tastes like all the good things you want a pipe tobacco to taste like. It’s a pretty mild and cool smoke. Just throughly enjoyable. Recommend with a glass of cold water. Towards the end of the bowl the sweetness was wild. Like when I was a kid and got sick, mom would make a cup of herbal tea with honey. Sometimes she wouldn’t stir it all the way- so that last sip was more honey than tea. This blend took me right back there and I will hold it dear forever now.

Bit of a learning curve
I have a tin of Windjammer with almost 2 years on it. I’ve been smoking it periodically over the last year without much luck, probably due to a lack of experience I’ve read is required for Virginias and VaPers. Today, I had the time to really slow down sip the blend in a large chambered bowl. It paid off. The age of the tobacco may have also played a role. But I was able to savor some of the complexity of the blend: lots of dried fruit, some nuttiness and earth/leather with honey/molasses. I thought I was doomed to pass on this blend after this tin but I’m now really looking forward to getting more out of it and purchasing more to cellar for extended periods.

Repeatable English
Really tasty blend. Cake was moist and in tact after almost a year of cellaring. Nice woody, earthy, oaky and fleeting sweet cedar with incense and dry floral notes popping in and out. At the end I noticed some fig/date sugar flavor that was a really welcome send off for the bowl. For all that range, its body is light, clean and easily repeatable throughout the day. 10/10
Molina - Zebrano Sandblasted (A826) (9mm)
Very comfortable
This was my second out of three Molina pipes. I’m very pleased with all of them, I can’t think of a better value for the quality pipe. This one in particular has a narrowish and deep bowl which I was intimidated by. But it lights and smokes beautifully. Super comfortable in the had and much lighter than it appears. Used for English blends. Couldn’t recommend more.
Reiner - Blend No. 25 50g
Delicious
I’ve smoked 5-6 bowls of this so far and I find it very enjoyable. I lean towards English blends mostly but if I’m in the mood for aro I’ve been reaching for this. Lots of mild nutty and choco flavors and maybe a touch of ginger spice at the end and in the retrohale. Smokes great, I leave it out for 5 minutes before packing. I haven’t smoked enough aros to compare so don’t feel right giving a 5 but would definitely buy this again!
