Sir Walter Raleigh - Regular 1.5oz
Sir Walter Raleigh- burley
A tasty burley smoke. IMO- as good as a double priced tin. Try it and prove it for yourself. Not strong, burley prominent, no dicerable nic hit with no bite. Smooth smoke, non aromatic. Don’t underestimate this tobacco. Still cheap enough so throw it out if it’s not to your liking. You have nothing to lose. Just form your own opinion about this satisfying smoke.

Two Friends - English Chocolate 2oz
ENGLISH CHOCOLATE
This is a wonderful smoke for a change from my regular rotation which is mostly Vaper. The Latakia is in the background but is great for carrying the cocoa taste/aroma throughout the smoke. IMO - The blend was well thought out by achieving their desired results. Great broken flake, a bit dryer than I like but still no complaints. Very smooth, no bite, very little nic hit. This blend meets my expectations for a pleasant smoke. Not for all day smoking but for when you want a “sweeter” change to savor when having time to relax and enjoy. As an aside, I don’t care for aromatics but this is an exception (if you call this aromatic). Not overwhelming like many other aros are. A very pleasant smoke. Recommended.

Rattray's - Exotic Passion 100g
Rattray’s EXOTIC PASSION (no thanks)
I’m not an aromatic fan so I’m probably biased on this review. With my past experiences with aros this misses the mark big time. IMO it’s a weak blend. Yes, there’s orange flavor in an “airy” smoke. No beefy tobacco taste at all. In the past I have found many other aromatics that have both flavor and “oomph” but not this one. I was intrigued by both the beautiful tin as well as a great price for 100 grams- so I tried it out. Not for me but if you like to experiment with blending your tobacco, this one, with a a much stronger non aromatic would be a fun one to play with. No nic, very very smooth so it would be excellent smoke for beginners of the hobby. Definitely not imo, a quality RATTRAY BLEND as all their others. New to aromatics, try it.

Gladora - Pesse Canoe Oriental Flake 50g
Pesse canoe ORIENTAL
A “BEST BLEND” ORIENTAL. SWEET TIN NOTE. SWEET ORIENTAL. IMO, ONE OF THE BEST ORIENTALS AVAILABLE. ALL OF THE GLADORA BLENDS ARE GREAT. ALL PRICEY BUT FOR THE OCCASIONAL SMOKE THE ORIENTAL BLEND SHOULD BE TRIED. NO BITE, VERY MILD NIC, VERY TASTEY SMOKE DOWN TO BOTTOM OF THE BOWL. I HOPE THE OTHER 3BLENDS COME TO AMERICA SOON. THE PESSE CANOE ORIENTAL , IMO IS A SUPERB SMOKE 3-17-26 My fourth tin- same consistent review as above. Like all 3 Gladora blends available here in the states, they’re all really good…(repeat), now waiting for their other 3 blends to come here to the States to try out.

Cornell & Diehl - New Market
C&D NEW MARKET
This blend is what DEERS TONGUE IS ALL ABOUT. FORGET THAT WIMPY CROONER, (very little to non DT) and get the real thing when it’s available. Being bulk, the price is right. If you crave DEERS TONGUE, this is it. Burns well, no bite, very very little nic. Sweet Virginia tastes good too. Will keep buying when it becomes available again. IMO, C&D SHOULD TRASH CROONER AND PRODUCE NEW MARKET IN A TIN. PEOPLE WOULD THANK YOU and from a business point YOU COULD JACK UP THE PRICE! LOOKING FOR A “tasty, DT FORWARD BLEND, GIVE THIS A TRY. For me, it’s really what a DT blend IS ALL ABOUT.

Cornell & Diehl - Steamworks 2oz
STEAMWORKS C&D
IMO, A REALLY GOOD BLEND. HATS OFF TO JEREMY FOR THIS FINE SOPHISTICATED BLEND. VERY TASTEY MEDIUM BLEND THAT IS TRUELY WORTHY BLEND. HARD TO FIND BUT GOT THE FINAL TIN FROM BRIAR WORKS-AND GLAD I DID. LITERALLY TO MEDIUM NIC BUT VERY TOLERABLE TO EVEN NEWBIES. NO BITE BUT PLENTY OF FLAVOR/TASTE. WOULD BUY MORE TINS IF IT BECOMES AVAILABLE. A GREAT BLEND FOR THOSE WHO CRAVE ORIENTALS IN THEIR BLENDS

G. L. Pease - Ellipsis Flake 2oz
ELLIPSIS GL PEASE
A beautiful blend of VA,ORIENTALS, PERIQUE, BURLEY A Medium tasting blend. Oriental and VA FORWARD. THE PERIQUE FLOATS THRU THE BLEND AND THE BURLEY ADDS BOTTOM. THE CAV. SMOOTHS OUT THE FLAVOR BUT NOT OVERPOWERING. A UNIQUE BLEND THAT SMOKES TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL. THIS IS TRULY A WINNER FROM PEASE. I WILL CONTINUE TO PURCHASE. A GOOD SMOKE FOR THOSE THAT ENJOY ORIENTAL FORWARD BLENDS. NIC MILD WITH NO BITE BUT A STRONG FLAVOR. IMO A TOP TIER SMOKE. CONGRATS TO PEASE

Missouri Meerschaum - Luminaire 2oz
M.M. Luminaire

Gladora - Pesse Canoe Latakia Flake 40 50g
My good mistake
I thought that I again ordered the PC20 but mistakenly ordered the PC40. Another fabulous blend from Gladora. Lat forward but not as overwhelming as one would think. The Virginia comes through throughout the entire bowl. Always smooth, no bite and a less than medium Nic hit. I know it’s a bit pricey but so good ( like the PC20 is) so now I keep one tin cellared and the open tin for more contiplative times. Definitely now on my short list. In a word-unique.

Solani - Virginia Flake - 633 50g
Superb
Just finished a tin and with every bowl I have I’m continually amazed at how wonderful this blend is. Very tasteful on the palette and absolutely no tongue bite - just sweet flavors. I save this blend to smoke when I have the time to relax and savor. I’m a Vaper fanatic and this blend hits the spot. Again, no bite and nic hit for me is pretty low. If you’re a lover of vapers do it for sure

Peter Stokkebye - PS306 English Oriental Supreme
All day smoke
Smoooth with a lot of sweetness. The orientals are prominent with the Va burley and Latakia secondary. The cavendish smooths out the blend. This is a very good blend with no bite but a lot of taste. Very subtle room note. After a half pound or so, it’s still one of my “regular “ go to blends. I love it in bulk as the price point is great. I think if PS started tinning this the price would surely double. Try it, you’ll like it.

Gladora - Pesse Canoe Latakia Flake 20 50g
One of my top five
A delightful-no, delicious flake. A wonderful taste. Tin note is superb. A sweet English blend that has me hooked. After 50 years of our “hobby” I have found this blend to be exceptionally smooth. Again, sweet, heady with no bite right to the bottom of the bowl. To me, this blend is much more enjoyable than the PCL-40 due to (in my opinion only) a touch too much Latakia- that I love but wanted a change. Yes, this PCLF-20 definitely is perfect blend for me. The con for me is that the tin is used up too quickly!
