I've tried several brands of filters. These rank right up at the top for quality. They really do a nice job of removing moisture.

Rivertown Tobacco Works - Sir Vanderberry
It's a biter
I've smoked 2 bowls of this blend now. Both times its been a really hot smoke and I've been bitten. I took special care to pack it carefully the second time to make sure it wasn't my fault. I wasn't able to pick the flavors out of the steamy smoke. I was just not impressed. I'll try again in other pipes possibly a system pipe and see if it makes a difference. I'll change my review if needed.

Work Great
These work perfect. Small enough to fit in your pocket, yet you can put a fair amount of tobacco in them. I accidently left one in a pipe roll for a couple of months, and it did a pretty decent job of maintaining freshness. I like that they come in colors. It helps me remember what tobacco I'm grabbing when running out the door. All without having to open the jar.

Half and Half - Half and Half 1.5oz
In a pinch
A codger that is just so so. The flavorings are on the lighter side. Smokes hotter than some aromatics. A positive note, its available all over. Easy enough to grab it in a pinch. The room note has that nostalgic smell. I love it, my wife says its too close to the smell of a cigarette. Overall its an okay smoke.

Perfect for the clenching
I have these on all my pipes. Not only do these make clenching so much easier and comfortable, you're also saving your stems from all the teeth marks. Win win.

Cornell & Diehl - Nutty Irishman 2oz
Above Average
Not an overly goopy aromatic. Smokes cool with no real tongue bite. The flavorings are not too strong, with the nutty flavor forward, and the irish mist present subtly in the background. Enjoyable aromatic.

Sir Walter Raleigh - Aromatic 7oz
Built to last
This codger blend is easily an all day smoke. Burns cool and easily with few relights if any. Flavor that delivers to the bottom of the bowl. Easily obtained, reasonably priced, and have yet to be disappointed.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - American Delite
It'll do
This one for me was a middle of the road aromatic. Light on flavor, with only the vanilla detectable for me. Carries a stronger room note for an aromatic. I've only smoked what was bought in bulk. Maybe my tin will be a welcomed surprise and deliver the flavor everyone else raves about.

Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation - 1982 Pouch 1.5oz
Disappoints
I find this blend smokes hot. Get carried away and you'll pay with a good bite. The flavors for me were difficult to separate and the room note was noted as equal to a cigarette by my wife. Not impressed.

Peter Stokkebye - PS6 Sweet Vanilla
Above average sweet vanilla
This blend is an easy all day smoke. Few relights and no bite make this blend an easy choice for beginners. The vanilla is nicely present throughout the bowl. A little nutty flavor mid way through the bowl becomes present. This would be a nice blend tobacco.

Peter Stokkebye - PS24 Nougat
It's okay
Promises a sweet chocolatey smoking experience. The vanilla notes are present throughout the bowl. Hints of chocolate occasionally hit. There is nothing particularly exciting about this blend. Gets a bit bland towards the end of the bowl.

Lane Limited - Buttered Rum
Buttered Rum that delivers the flavor
If you're looking for a sweet rich tasting aromatic, look no further. This aromatic blend starts with a sweet buttery flavor. Half way through the bowl the rum flavor finishes with a slight almond taste. The room note is a crowd pleaser. Few relights and doesn't bite unless you get impatient with it. This would be a great blending tobacco.
