Captain Earle's - Stimulus Package 2oz
Delectable in every way
Everyone else keeps calling this a Latakia bomb with strong notes of smoky burning tire. I can't get any of that. I must really like the taste of Latakia because it's like sweet licorice candy and exotic spices. Right up there with Pease's Quiet Nights, but even more of a good thing. It's like the black coffee version of Quiet Nights, but in the best possible way. If you enjoy a solid English blend, grab two tins and smoke to the glory of God.

This is it.
I've gone from cigar to Virginia to English and have even dabbled in aromatics. This is it. This is my all-day (and I mean, because of the way I smoke, one bowl sometimes lasts me all day, especially if I don't rub it out beforehand, which has proven to be unnecessary because I set it aside after about 10-20 minutes anyway). I love every bit of this and the flavor is better than even Chelsea Morning. Grab a tin and smoke with your heart full of gratitude, all to the glory of God.

A little more chest hair than 1-Q
But only a little. Where 1-Q tasted like slightly sweet warm air, this burley has some actual flavor in it. This has a stronger smell, but I would imagine it is still a crowd pleaser like 1-Q. I can't taste too much vanilla, (mostly like Kool-Aid without sugar), but it was probably because I like to dry out my tobacco for about ten minutes on the counter before I pack it, especially because this came out a little more sticky than any G.L. Pease blend usually comes already in the tin. Flavors I detect: Nutty, woody, waffle cone, sugarless Kool-Aid, and tiny hint of licorice, that's about it.

Incredibly light and a little sweet
I come from cigars also, so it took a little getting used to such a light flavor. The smell is incredible, the residual scent on my moustache is far sweeter and lighter than usual, but this is definitely a crowd pleaser. I only wish the taste were as vanilla as the smell; it's a little more like Kool-aid without sugar, but then again, this is my first foray into aromatics and I have no idea what tastes to look for It came very moist and I had to dry it quite a bit before I packed it, but that should never be something to complain about, just make sure you test your tobacco before packing. I'm definitely not worrying about ghosting with this one, though I'm sure if you let it ghost it would give a stronger flavor. Even Orlik Golden Sliced was not this mellow. The nicotine is definitely there, but softer (and I'm very sensitive to nicotine). I keep retrohaling this blend because of how faint the flavor is. I want to try to capture all of it. The aftertaste isn't as pleasant as G.L. Pease English blends, Orlik, or good cigar tobacco, but everything else is great, especially for those who don't like a strong flavor or heartburn if their mouths and throats are more sensitive to stronger nicotine or the spice of Cuban tobacco like mine are.
