Cornell & Diehl - Sweet English
My absolute favorite.
This is my go to daily tobacco. The bag moisture will smoke fine, but I dry it out some. It has so many different notes depending on what ribbon you are burning. It has a course cut. The bag aroma may have a sour, almost cheesy smell, but dig your nose into it and it smells like salted caramel or even baking chocolate, but after a while of dissecting, you will mostly smell the Virginia. It is a bit spicy through the nostrils and easy on the tongue. At times you will taste the sweet cavendish or the natural Virginia, a little of the nuttiness of the burley, and the latakia makes this blend pop. I definitely recommend it. Other friends who mostly smoke balkans or Englishes like it as well as my aromatic smoking friends. It is perfect for either mood.

A great mellow English
A high quality blend and cut. In the bag, it is pretty moist. With no dry time it is a bit muted. The bag smell is very peaty and sweet. After drying it out pretty well, the flavor and aroma comes out more. It has a pleasant taste that is smooth, very light on spice with a somewhat sweet back-end and absolutely no tongue bite. It would be a great English for someone who shies from the powerful English or Balkan taste, or for someone who is a seasoned English smoker looking for a lighter taste. This is a well rounded blend, the burley and virginias seem to be the main players, giving it a robust and natural sweet overtone. The latakia and orientals add their part without overpowering the mix. The cavendish seems to be the caboose. A great blend for the evening. I recommend a deep chamber for this relaxing blend. I wish I had bought a larger quantity to test.
