Peterson - Old Dublin 50g
Grows on you
A great tobacco, it grows on you as at first you could be put off slightly. The basma is sweet, and the Latakia makes it smokey, but not too smokey and it complements the sweetness from the Basma well. Room note is not good though, but as its an English blend and not aromatic its to be expected. A lovely dark colour in the tin and a nice ribbon cut. You will come to love it.
Borkum Riff - Bourbon Whiskey 1.5oz
Does the job
Known as "Bronze" here in the UK, the trick with most Borkum Riff tobaccos and certainly with this is to take your time. Youll get a nasty bite on your tongue if you go at it too quick. Sip it, the Bourbon is there just about but it has a heavy tobacco hit too. On the nose I only get tobacco, no Bourbon.
