Rivertown Tobacco Works - Hazelnut Hollow
Great and Even Versatile Mild Danish-Styled Aromatic
Obviously, blended by Cornell & Diehl. Very good in a pipe, the hazelnut topping is stronger than some reviews suggest, can, as advertised, work as an all-dayer. I might prefer Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake, sure, but this works for me as a change-of-pace light aro. I like the occasional RYO as well, and on a whim, dried out a bit of this in a wooden bowl for a minute in the microwave, rubbed it out, removed the stems (value-priced C&D blends tend to have them) and rolled up a cigarette. Surprisingly good mildly aromatic cigarette, that gives a cigarette smoker that oh-so-pleasant "burn" when inhaled, but is surprisingly low-impact. Will be rolling a few cigs tonight. The hazelnut is there, but not overwhelming. I case, stove, and top my own black cavendishes, twelve-hour stoves at 200 degrees sometimes, and this half-and-half with the Stokkebye Luxury Twist, cased in molasses water (not too much if you want it to burn) and topped with coconut and blueberry extract gave me one of my best ever! About an eight-hour stove in a toaster oven. Highly recommended!

Very Sweet.
This is the epitome, or apotheosis, of the goopy, overly-sweet aromatic. Why am I giving it four stars, then? It is unique. The flavor and topping are unique, and it is an über-aromatic. Open the tin. When I opened mine, the scent hung around on my shirt while I took a nap, and when I woke up, it was still there. Even my fingers smell when I have worked with this tobacco, a couple of days later. I get a bit of coconut from the scent, and a lot of vanilla and caramel. Don't bother trying to dry it out; it will not dry out (sure, probably after hours or a day), unless you were to put it in the microwave, though I would not recommend that. Changes the taste in a negative way. It's the best of the goopy, overly-sweet aromatics that I have tried at least. It has a smell that is pervasive; it just won't go away. Tastes nice in the pipe, and even though it will never dry out, burns in an acceptable way. It's a weird animal; one that is always clawing at your face, though in a very sweet way. That's what Molto Dolce means in Italian; very sweet, and it is. It clings to your shirt, fingers, or God knows whatever other parts. Every pipe smoker should try this, even if only once. It is a unique experience. It actually doesn't seem to ghost a pipe too much once it burns up; just make sure it is a pipe you smoke aromatics or topped blends out of. Do not smoke it in a pipe dedicated to unscented Virginia Flakes or VAPERs. The taste is less overwhelming than the tin smell, and how it clings to you.

Very Nice Danish Aromatic
Had a tin of this in my collection from 2012, and looked up the reviews to see what folks were saying about it. Thought, well, haven't had a good aromatic in a while, and a good aromatic it is. Can't really add much to what others have said; smells goopy and overpowering in the tin but smokes lovely and one can still taste the quality tobacco, etc. Don't smoke many aromatics, but this one I would buy again. Lovely flavor, and not overdone. 11-9-2022 Well, my last pipe of this, in the Marxman Jumbo, and I will miss it. Might buy it again if I see it for a reasonable price, but you know; there are other quality Danish Aromatics. The Danes get aromatics right.
