Joya de Nicaragua - Numero Uno L'Attache
Different profile. Worth a try.
This was quite a unique tasting cigar for me. The overriding flavour was.....chlorine. Surpisingly, it was not a bad taste. A creaminess combines with the chlorine to make a very interesting profile. 3/5
Foundation Cigar Company - Olmec Claro Doble Corona
Such Pleasure
After reading many rave reviews this met my expectations. Personally, I find the San Andres wrapper to be hit or miss for me. However, it is really enjoyable with this Olmec. Their filler is fantastic here. No pepper, little nicotine, cacao and espresso notes throughout. I could smoke all day.

Natural Creamy Sweetness
4.5/5 Construction: These came very moist upon arrival with some wet patches due to the humidity pouches. Thankfully, I nursed them down gradually to a nice RH. I also dry-boxed a day before smoking. Wrapper a little toothy with a few stand out veins. Great weight and feel to this stick. Draw on the tighter side, which I now expect from Caldwell, but not in a bad way. Body: ⅓ is herby & spicy with lots of graham cracker aroma. I also got hints of dried fruit & citrus. ⅔ was my favourite. A natural sweetness dominates and brings through a distinct creaminess! Final third brings spice and pepper with small bits of savouriness. The nic hit was surprisingly mellow.

Leather & Citrus
Cobstruction: Top quality. Body: First third is very leathery and peppery. Second third is where the flavour profile opens up. I got notes of hay, earth and citrus. The citrus was a little like orange peel especially in the after taste and a little on the retrohale. Paired it with some Nicargauan coffee which went well! Score: 3.8/5

Wrapper: Gorgeous, unique looking and unique smelling. Complex chocolate sweet aromas. Construction: Great light, even burn and satisfying ash. No touch-ups required. Flavour: Deliciously complex from the get-go. Anyone who wants chocolatey notes then this has it in abundance. 4.8/5

Nutty & Toasted Bread Notes
Wrapper: Nice wrapper but nothing crazy here. Construction: Top class in all aspects. Tasting notes: First third is quite tame. Things get a lot more interesting approaching the end of the 2nd phase as nutty and baked bread type of notes come through strong. Super great finish.
Drew Estate - Blackened M81 Corona
Punchy at the beginning. Enjoyed the end.
Wrapper: Toothy with a nice build. Strong tobacco aroma pre-light but no noticeable taste on cold draw. Construction: Comfortable cold draw. Easy to light, great even burn and ash. Body: Complex from the get-go but the standout notes were tobacco & leather. 1/3 was punchy in terms of nicotine, tobacco flavours were strong and I didn't enjoy it. The latter stages of the 2/3 was where there was more nuance. Leather & espresso coming through with hints of marzipan. Final third had hints of espresso and almonds. Nicotine: 4-5/5 Score: 3/5

Chocolate Aroma
Lovely chocolatey and earthy wrapper. Even burn and ash throughout. Red pepper/spice in 1st and 3rd phase. I got lots of earth & leather throughout. Wrapper really shines throughout. I do think this stick really needs dry-boxing though based on a previous smoke. 4/5
L'Atelier - La Mission 1959
Smooth, Spicy & Woody
Wrapper: Nice dark wrapper with no imperfections. Even had a cute little pigtail! Construction: Lovely even burn and ash. Silky draw all the way. Effortless smoke. Flavour: More spicy than peppery upon initial phase. Leather notes in the 2nd phase. Final phase was again spicy and believe it or not I got a hint of spaghetti hoops! Nicotine: 4/5 strength for me. Did not take away from the smoke at all. Just be mindful. Score: 4.2/5

Wrapper: Beautifully smooth and tobacco smelling. Construction: Fantastic. Flawless draw, light and burn. Lots of smoke too. Body: Medium for me. Found it to be very earthy with spiciness and woodiness. Not bad at all but not to my liking overall. Nicotine: Strong all the way through. Score: 3.8/5
Foundation Cigar Company - El Gueguense Robusto
Interesting profile. Sub-par construction.
Wrapper: Leathery and woody aroma and on taste. Veiny with a lovely caramel hue. Unfortunately, quite delicate it seems. I tried two of these and both were flaky. Construction: Smoothest draw I've experienced. Even burn no retouches required. Sadly, let down by flaking wrapper. Flavour: Complex mix of flavours. Has a very distinct tobacco taste paired with wood & leather throughout. There is a decent kick of pepper in the first & final third. I found the first part quite strong. In terms of nicotine and smoke they are on the lighter side for both. Score: 3.5/5
Oliva - Serie V Belicoso
Dark Chocolate!
Wrapper: Gorgeous aroma straight outta the wrapper. Dark chocolate and subtle ground coffee that I loved. Not much taste upon contact with my lips, not even much tobacco taste. Construction: Near perfect. Only gripe was that the draw was tough but most likely because it is a belicoso. Flavour: Primarily dark chocolate. Ground coffee notes in first & final third. Just enough pepper that comes through stronger at the end. Notes: I would like to try this in a bigger vitola. I think it will smoke even better. Score: 4.8/5

Amazingly Aromatic & Affordable
Construction: Built very well. Lights well, balanced burn, cut easy too. Only complaint, my stick was a little tight on the draw. Wrapper: A little toothy which I like and smells strong in a good way. Aroma: Fantastic roasted nuts smells when toasting and intensifies through out the smoke. The wife really loved the aroma! Body: Mild-Medium, consistent profile Nicotine: Quite strong. First and final third were most noticeable. 5/5

Great construction. Decent flavour.
Construction: Lights, draws and burns very well. Wrapper: Smooth and a little oily. Nice feel. 3/5 Body: Medium body combo of saltiness, bit of earth and warm tobacco spice. There was no transition of flavours throughout my smoke. The final third was just more spicy. So a little bit tame overall for me.
Perla del Mar - Maduro Corona Gorda
Gorgeous Aroma
Construction: Specs state NOT box-pressed. But it is indeed box-pressed. This was a first for me. All is well with the construction. I did have some lighting issues but I think that is more on me as I was not accustomed to the box-pressed style. Body: Medium-full body. It has a gorgeous aroma which reminded me of a campfire. This aroma remained throughout my smoke and stayed after. 1/3 earthy, spicy and chocolatey. 2/3 Leathery and spicy 3/3 Spicy and peppery. Nicotine: Low hit. 4.5/5

Underwhelmed - Boring profile
Construction: Decent overall. Though I did have lighting/burn issues especially during the final third. Flavour: Mainly earthy but it is very light. More spice towards the end but nothing special. Overall, just not tasty, very boring as nothing really changes throughout the stick. Nicotine: Also light like its flavour. 2/5
Arturo Fuente - Exquisitos Maduro
Earthy goodness in a small stick!
Construction: Excellent all throughout. Smooth draw. Nicotine: Not strong. Good for beginners. Flavour: Earthy wrapper, main tasting note for me was leathery and spice. There was a hint of vanilla on the retrohale. Consistent flavour throughout. 4/5
