Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening 2oz
Very nice
I’m not an aromatic guy but this stuff is very good. I bought it to smoke around my fiancé and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It tastes similar to how it smells. It smells like pancakes with syrup, so be careful smoking it because you’ll get hungry!
Carter Hall - Carter Hall 14oz
My Favorite
I have a lot of different tobaccos in my cellar but I have more Carter Hall than anything else. It is the one tobacco I don’t ever want to be without. I didn’t get to try the original blend, but I can say that the blend that we have now is one of the great tobacco blends on the market and it outshines many other blends that are priced much higher. People call it a codger blend but I think Carter Hall is in a whole other league.
G. L. Pease - Ellipsis Flake 2oz
Great but not for me.
For me, when I popped the tin the Virginias were grassy, and I could taste the hint of Burley supporting it with some spice. After the tobacco breathed for about a week, the Virginias became very lemony, which I don’t like, so I wound up mixing the half of the tin I had left with Prince Albert to mellow it out. I think it’s a great tobacco if you like lemony Virginias.
Cornell & Diehl - Sun Bear Navy Cask 2oz
Suggestion
I’d like to start off by saying that I’m very happy with Smoking Pipes and Cornell and Diehl, and I make the following suggestion having been able to purchase the tins that I wanted. I believe it would be a good idea if you are releasing small batches at 6pm to limit purchases to Americans only for the first 6 hours. Let your own people have a chance at tasting the tobacco before you open it up globally. It wouldn’t be hard to do.
Cornell & Diehl - Sansepolcro 2oz
Excellent
I purchased 25 tins of the 2025 release, and I’m so glad I did! This stuff is exquisite.
Sutliff - Tobacco Galleria: Montego Bay
Very good
Bought this at my local B&M and went searching online for a better price and found it here. This is really great stuff, perfect for summer. I’ll be buying by the pound.
G. L. Pease - Key Largo 8oz
Sublime
This could easily be an every day smoke. It tastes great, has decent strength, and stays lit. I’ve smoked it with three different kinds of pipes and I think it tastes the best in a cob.

Briar Curing: From Sawmill To Smoke
- ► I too had a stubborn pipe that I had to put about 40 bowls through to tame. It tasted horrible and always gurgled. Finally decided to put a specific blend in it in a whim, and it suddenly smoked perfectly, no gurgle and great taste. I also discovered that it smoked that particular blend better than any other pipe I have, so I dedicated the pipe to the blend.
