Sutliff - Balkan II
Great stuff
Nice surprise. Mellow, but tasty. Good latakia blend, but the other tobaccos in it shine through the latakia. Still smokey, but well balanced and with a pleasant room note, and it lasts a long time. Could go very well mixed with Fr. Dempsey

Cornell & Diehl - White Burley
Do not like
First light a few months back was traumatic. Now it’s not as bad aged, but tastes kinda like a cigar and has a lot of bite to it in the middle of your tongue. Could be okay for a mixer, but definitely not a straight smoke.

Sutliff - Balkan S 957 Match
Middle of the road
Another good Balkan from Sutliff, not as heavy on the latakia but sweeter than Balkan II with a warm spice to it. It did make a lot of tar in my pipe, but I’m sure it’ll improve with age. Also pairs great with Glenlivet 14.

Mac Baren - Mixture Scottish Blend
Pleasant
A nice, mellow aromatic. Takes an hour to smoke if you don’t want tongue bite, but it burns well with a pleasant and vaguely sweet taste. Not a ton to say about it, it’s just pleasant.

Sutliff - Cinnamon Delight
Meh
Better when mixed with C+D Izmir Turkish, but nothing impressive. Lots of tar and doesn’t taste like cinnamon.

Sutliff - SPS-2011 Peach Cobbler
Favorite Aromatic
The best aromatic I’ve ever had. Very strong taste and smell, but very tasty. It actually tastes like peach cobbler, which is a plus. Also burns well and has a very pleasant room note. In my mind this is the perfect aromatic, it just needs to dry out some. 10/10 from me.

Sutliff - 507-S Stoved Virginia
caramel goodness
Very pleasant smoke. Bright and hits mainly on the front end of your tongue, has a pleasant caramel taste. Not an overpowering smoke and it might seem weak at first. But where this tobacco really shines is in its room note--and I say that as someone with a horrible sense of smell—it smells great and really fills your palette. Only downside is that it’s got a good bit of tar, but I don’t mind it too much. Can definitely see myself buying more.

Kramer's - Father Dempsey
There for me when no one else was
Been smoking this guy a long time now and I always come back to to it. Peppery, spicy, but has a mellow sweetness to it. Heavy on latakia and I love it. Feels like I’m eating a steak. My favorite English blend by far. Thank you Kramer’s, very cool.
